Do you feel like you want more D&D in your life but just don’t have the time to join or start a campaign?
Yeah, we felt the same way and that’s why we started Chronicles of Mistaria.
Chronicles of Mistaria is a new, GM-driven, West Marches campaign, with an emphasis on deadly combat and exciting treasure hunting.
What is a West Marches campaign you ask and what makes it GM-driven?
Well, the campaign has multiple GMs working in a shared environment. When one of the GMs wants to run an adventure, they post a job to the tavern, with a date for the session, and a number of players join the adventure with their characters. Player level up their characters from one adventure to the other, collecting loot along the way, and playing out the lives of their characters in the strange continent of Mistaria; a mist covered land across a portal north of Baldur’s Gate.
We leverage the power of D&D Beyond and Discord to make the process of running adventures as smooth and stress free as possible. Location of sessions (and whether offline or online), will be left up to the discretion of the GM.
After each session, GMs post a single sentence to the timeline, explaining the outcome of their adventure. GMs build on top of each other’s characters and plot points, creating an exciting emergent story.
For their part, players can join as many sessions as they want. Do you only have time to join one session a month? No problem. One every two months? Still not a problem. Every week? If the games are available, sure.
Same if you’re a GM. Do you just want to fill a lull between your campaigns? Go right ahead. Do you want to post an adventure a week? Do IT! Do you want to try out GMing for the first time? DO IT!
We have three GMs and are currently building a guide for new ones. Adventures will start very soon, and all we need is players!

Hi, sorry, couldn’t quite figure it iit from the doc, but are sessions online or in person? Or is there like a mix
DnD would leave a lot of folks confused as it also means Do not Disturb
Which edition? 5e, OSR?
Also, are Maltese diaspora invited or only local? Totally understand if it is locals only.
Is there much of an OSR or Classic D&D (Original to B/X) scene in Malta?
Cool to see this. I’ve never had the pleasure to try Dnd. Used to play vampires masquerade ages ago and it was awesome
