In almost in every documentary about black soldieres in WW II, one will mention that they were treated worse by the US Army, than the US Army treated members of the SS.
Just a guess, but I think they might be French colonial Troupes de Marine.
They had anchor badges.
Man Eating Rice is awesome. So rare to se smiles in pictures this old, especially one so captivating.
Lacking a bit on the camouflage I think. Even other more poorly equipped armies at the time had winter camo.
