    Good thing they spent the time and effort to do that research. Otherwise we’d have never guessed.

  2. The government are too paralysed by fear of getting it wrong to do anything meaningful on this issue. All their schemes sound good on paper but ultimately they’re administered by jobsworth civil servants who make up their own criteria for the schemes. I’ve just spent months battling the county council to try to get the Local Authority Home Loan. By the objective criteria on their website I should be eligible, but they keep coming back with ridiculous reasons not to grant it.

    Was hoping to get something in the last development in my area that’s currently in my price range but looks like that’s a hope gone down the swanny.

    Annoying thing is I know for a fact if you have a contact in the county council they can push it through for their buddies.
