Hello fellow Redditors, I was just wondering if I could take 5 minutes of your time to complete my survey for my Master’s degree. The purpose of this survey is to form part of the research from Irish national’s perspectives for my dissertation topic which is on the Irish Housing Crisis and Irish government policy. I understand you probably have better things to be doing with your time, but any responses would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to partake in my survey or share it , you can do so through the link provided.

Many Thanks.

Well put together survey. Most Master’s surveys I take on Reddit are confusing, misleading and often just fundamentally flawed. This one was as good as any professional survey I’ve taken.
Completed but only bug bear is the spelling of Connacht!
I think by restricting people to one column per question you are creating a bias in your study. People will choose what they think is right from the top thus attaching the first number to an issue and then not reflect upon it when another issue would have the same number according to them.
Why do you not allow several issues to be graded as most important?

What the angle on a UK quantity surveyor academic doing research on the Irish housing market?
Just FYI when I filled it out I accidentally interpretted 6 as most important and 1 as least. However I did catch this and fixed before I submitted.
Not sure if others do this but I’ve definitely done surveys that favour most important as the larger number.
Done, great questions and best of luck with your masters !
It’s notable that there is no mention in this survey about zoning laws. Converting all the 2/3 story buildings to 5 story buildings in big cities will go a long way to addressing the situation (along with the appropriate supporting public infrastructure to accomodate more people of course)
