Plenty of other ID consultants have noted that serological/PCR controls have demonstrated no real difference in symotomology for those who had a positive PCR or antibody test in the pre-vaccine era.
So why is Prof Lambert differing from them and focusing on a self selected group? Not one mention in the article of how these people fit into the general population.
Absolutely help is needed. The pandemic was very tough on people. But we know major depression results in (transient) cognitive impairment, i.e. brain fog… that’s why you’ll find that ID consultants elsewhere aren’t pushing much anymore for “long Covid” services but would prefer access to mental health resources, treat the actual problem for most of these patients.
I got it back in April 2021 before I got vacinated, I was not cognitively okay again for least 6 months. The only metric I was studying for the Az-204 in the middle of it I got covid, went back studying for it and it was a huge struggle.
