  1. “All the tenuous links to the things that these guys have allegedly done when we know that the links are, like I say, tenuous at best. It doesn’t mean everyone in Saudi Arabia is a bad person.”

This guy is a fucking bellend. Nobody said EVERYONE in Saudi Arabia is a bad person, mostly it’s just the guy who pays you and his mates.

  2. He just wants to take their dirty money but not be held to account.
I feel like he would have been happy to ay in South Africa during apartheid if the money was right.

It’s the same principle- sportswashing the image of the Saudi regime.

  3. “In the short term it’s tainted because the narrative is so negative. Eventually that narrative will have to change. How many top players are going to have to play in this thing and create a product to where you guys will start talking about golf?”

Horseshit. Normalizing a country that doesn’t have human rights in its dictionary just to get people into golf isn’t a great point to make. I wish these golfers would flat out say its just for the money and not hide their motives under this idea that golf should be promoted or that it needs to appeal to different demographics to stay alive. Saudi Arabia are bad offenders of this sort of thing as it is. I don’t know anyone that didn’t go there purely for the money.
