Policy sounds pretty sensible, even if it’s closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, started the race, won the race, got his medal, retired, and been sent out to pasture.
Just don’t see how the omicron variant is being transmitted to any substantial degree by those who have already had one of the boosters, or a supplementary vaccine.
Simply maintain documentation sets for boosters and supplementary vaccines — and begin to allow non mRNA boosters.

Then do contact tracing in the countries and airports of departures as a further screen.
