Terrorism: Lone actors make stopping attacks harder, say FBI and MI5 chiefs

  1. You’d think MI5 wouldn’t feel the need to make that correlation…isn’t it common sense even if you aren’t the people attempting to detect and prevent it. What’s the next random statement going to be “Surgeon Generals Office advises against licking the PMs arse”?

  2. That is *so* inconsiderate of terrorists!

Why can’t they just all band together and attack all at once?

Typical selfish assholes, always thinking of their own damn selves to do that. Don’t they realise how more difficult it is for our national security agencies to stop them when they lone wolf it?!

Terrorists are just so selfish and inconsiderate..

  3. I find it insane sometimes how much attention is placed on having the tools and man power to fight terrorist or “enemies” when the reality is. If we didn’t have wars and exploitative involvements in foreign countries people wouldn’t be inclined to you know become a terrorist to fight back against oppressive war criminals.

“Its not fair that we can’t monitor the minds of lone wolf terrorists so we can stop them resisting against our tyrannical practices. We want to be able to have war economies and protect our economic interest but also prevent them from retaliating.”

You can’t get anymore oppressive than bombing, invading and exploiting foreign countries and then also complaining they can’t 100% stop retaliation.

  4. It is, and we’ll have to live with that as random, lone wolf terrorist attacks are preferable to increased state surveillance, lessened freedoms and or/increasing authoritarianism.

Less poverty, better mental health help and more focus on the general well-being of the population would probably be pretty good ways to lessen these attacks actually.

  5. Funny how the FBI always has interaction with mass shooters, months, weeks, days before they rampage. What’s up with that?
