The S-train network in Brussels. Unfortunately today’s frequencies are low. Here is a new timetable proposal with a train every 30 minutes on each line.

My apologies for using only the Dutch labels in the Région Bruxelles-Capitale and Enghien.
Ah yes, low frequencies with the 96 trains/hour on the noord-zuid verbinding.
It’s a pretty sad state of affairs. The number of buses traveling along those lines to Brussels North is just ridiculous

Wait, are they proposing the Geraardsbergen is no longer the s6 train and wont stop in central anymore?
Well fuck

I propose they stop cancelling s5 out of the blue.. cursed be that line!
So no more trains from Jette to Schuman, that was the closest thing to a West-East connection and the S2 instead of S1 serving Chapelle and Congres, if the S1 has less stops, they might as well reintroduce Machelen (Brabant) instead of Buda to keep it of the IC-tracks between North and Vilvoorde. What is currently S19 also seems to be missing? (Charleroi-Nivelles-Airport). I’d also doubt 4S trains to Braine-le-comte wouldn’t get in the way of other IC’s unless they are right behind each other per 2 from Halle onward. Maybe you can squeeze in another train going from Bxl-West to Vorst-Oost, since that track seems to be rarely used. Same for Schaarbeek to Turn and Taxis or Jette. Maybe split up the S6 Zottegem-Nivelle/ Braine-l’alleud via West and Aalst-Schaarbeek/ Luxemburg? (There is already a metro from west to midi and central)
Maybe something like this? https://metromapmaker.com/?map=rg8MC3pc
