I hear more Irish flags are bought by unionists than anyone else in NI…
Nice to see we occupy so much of their headspace when in truth we (and England) barely register their sad little lives
“culture”…
Why exactly does Ireland allow the UK to do this every year?
Is there any other country in western europe that has a festival of flag burning? Even the most illiterate ISIS “death to america” member just does it once for tiktok.
There’s this odd behaviour in FFG of sucking up to sectarian assholes in the north.
Retardedly aggressive peons
imagine having so much intense hatred for a people/group of people, despite the fact that the group in question barely acknowledges your existence and has at best, “mild disdain” for you
What a wonderful culture
Nice of them to let us live rent free in their heads during this housing crisis
” Ha ha we burned your flag!” No dickhead, you bought it, you burned your flag.
I mean honestly. You live on that island. You may register as English but you live in Ireland. Would catch this carry on in Derry city
It’ll be interesting, there are a bunch of photos about showing different towers topped with Irish flags for burning. At the same time the conservatives in the UK are all talking about reneging on the GFA. These pictures will be great evidence for keeping the GFA in place for if removed could lead to a return of violence. Without realizing it they are making it easier to keep things in favor of those they hate.

Pure hate! Very sad people
I’m going to set fire to it tonight before they can.
Well, at least you got the right flag this year.
“A dying ideology will always over-compensate in its final throes.”
Seems like a great way to light the whole town on fire. There’s a reason they do burning man in the desert lol.
Neanderthals
well…at least they got it the right way around this year
At least they are gonna burn it and not let it stay there as a monument all year round.
At some point in the future, you would think that some of them, might start to have doubts about the wisdom of bonfires from an environmental perspective.
Delightful
Respect are kulture.
The National Flag of Ireland, a tricolour of green, white and orange, is intended to symbolise the inclusion of and the aspiration for unity between people of different traditions on this island.
The white in the centre signifies a lasting truce between Orange and Green and I trust that beneath its folds the hands of Irish Protestants and Irish Catholics may be clasped in generous and heroic brotherhood.
Seems to be going swimmingly…..
Wouldn’t it be great craic to prematurely ignite these days before with a drone
These Minecraft updates are amazing
Genuinely laughing at this, it’s funny to think these lads probably spend a substantial amount of time thinking about how much they hate us and love England/UK, when most of us in the South and Britain rarely think about them at much length at all. I suppose everyone finds their own ways of coping with their crippling realities, and life in their communities must be fairly miserable
“I don’t even know who you are”
Welcome to MutantArds. There fixed it for you.
I’ve never followed much of this since I was a child. All I know is the northern Irish hate the uk and want to be part of a united Ireland. That’s why they burn massive bonfires draped in the red white and blue of the UK or something like that anyway. The flames will be a pretty site though I’d say myself
Not good
‘Culture ‘
Wouldn’t it be great if whoever sold them the flags just slightly altered the hex code colourings so it technically wasn’t the Irish flag. And ofc fleeced them for every penny.
What’s gas is that, along with the catholics in the flag, they’re burning representations of peace and orangemen too…
Imagine if we did that to a Union Jack or a sectarian flag there would be uproar from the people both the north and UK.
Kkkulture
Neanderthal mindset
So I can’t laugh about a bigot falling to his death but the can enjoy this “family and culturally important event?”
What mouthbreathery is this??
Do these people realize how cognitively medieval they are?
Fucking nutters, so glad I’m in Madrid
I love (safe and friendly)bonfires and (non paramilitary) bands, island I’m happy to discuss my reasons with anyone.
I don’t dwell on the history, and neither do most people contrary to popular belief. When you see the thousands of people at bonfires and hundreds of thousands watching the different 12th parades around the island stop and logically ask yourself one question- “Do they all hate us?”
No of course not! They are out for a fun evening at the bonfire followed by a day of listening to music (gospel tunes) and seeing the spectacle. Get a grip if you think they are all planning how better to hate catholics or Ireland. That’s your own insecurities.
Hear me out. The amount of bitterness on this sub is fucking disgusting. You lot are behaving exactly the same way as this minority, and it is a minority, of loyalists. Check some of the hatred in these comments, no difference whatsoever as what the flag burners are doing!
You are posting overt hatred against one particular group of people and you are doing it thinking you are the ones taking the moral high ground! Get a grip!
Bonfires and bands aren’t going to go away, and they shouldn’t have to. The history of why it all started does need to slink off into the sunset and leave only the expression of culture. Nothing more!
Any “New Ireland” has to bring this group of people with it so go think about the smart way to do this.
