The symbol on the right should be for a motor vehicle driver

This is a Swiss Army ‘Fortress driver’s’ patch. As they are located in mountains, facing nasty narrow icy roads, the job is (was?) a specialization, hence the special wheel mark, which is different from the usual Swiss army drivers.
As others have said, the one on the collar is for drivers and the one on the shoulder is “fortress” so I’d assume fortress driver or something akin to that.
the symbol on the collar patch designates a driver for a atrilllery formation (Red Color) the specailist pach on the arm Stands for Fortess Maintainance service Guard & Defence (orange Color)
Tl;dr : The unifom owner was a Driver for the maintancegroup of a Artillery fortress
edit: Typo, the soldier was in duty between 1974 -1990 (the specialicst bage is on the right arm)
Logistics for fortress artillery
thats not swiss army uniform bro thats an actual soviet gulag uniform your grandpa trolled you
Looks like he was a Driver, Probably a Truckdriver, for a Fortress Unit
The collar patch is sometimes seen on rural roads with a width listed so army truck drivers know if their truck will fit.
He played chess and his favourite piece was a rook!
Do you have any rank patterns? On the old uniforms there used to be numbers which allowed for easy recognition for the formation he served in.
