Half of Britons buy less food as prices surge

  1. Not sure about less but as a family we have doubled our consumption of white carbs Vs fresh veg because it’s so much cheaper.

  2. I seem to buy just food on reduced, you can actually find some awesome bargains and there is always loads reduced after 5pm. Such as in Morrisons I found a packet of 16 back Bacon reduced from £3 to 60p. At 60p you will be paying 70s prices for Bacon! I’m not broke but I do like the challenge of giving the middle finger to all these price rises.

Top tip – even if you have no plans to make use of the reduced item that day, if it is a good bargain buy it and throw it in the freezer until you want it.

  3. Does that mean all the obese people are going to loose weight?

Statistically the UK population was at it’s healthiest during the rationing of WW2

  4. That’s odd because I’ve been buying a lot more food for the last year or so. Eating at early 2021 prices saves a lot.
