Hello people! I recently got an offer for the dorm and I wanted to pay the 150€ deposit money but I did not understand the reference number part([https://prnt.sc/jrt0ij](https://prnt.sc/jrt0ij)). I cannot see any place to put a reference number in the swift transaction. Do I need to put it in the description part along with my name? Thanks for helping me out 🙂

not sure about swift transfer but in most bank transfers when making a transfer there is an option for more options and that gives the reference field, but if you can’t do it in swift it’s probably ok to put the reference number in the description as well
Description like mentioned here already (if you do not have separate field in your internet bank) or you could try also description in format of `/RFB/311001100119` (page 219 on [us1m_20180720.pdf](https://www2.swift.com/knowledgecentre/rest/v1/publications/us1m_20180720/2.0/us1m_20180720.pdf)), perhaps it helps Swedbank to parse out reference number automatically 🙂 Name is probably not needed in description – that info is put into swift message/payment automatically by your bank (field 50 or something)… in theory…
