I’ve always wondered if clicking “reject” on those popups actually does anything.
GDPR is largely useless if it’s not enforced. It should also be simplified, make it a single A4 page of the most important rules.
There’s some parts of GDPR that nobody even agrees on how to implement and comply with.
Is GDPR even being enforced?
GDPR can be summarised with this quote from Snowden:
>It’s ok to spy on everyone all the time whether they are your customers or your citizens…so long as it never leaks, so long as only you are in control of what it is that you’ve stolen from everybody.
GDPR is not here to protect us from large multinationals, it is here to legitimise the collect of data by large multinationals until that same data is leaked.
