Fury as school decides who can go to prom too late late

  1. Sounds to me like top students got to go….students struggling got to go as a a bribe…..but those in the middle missed out. They should have booked a big enough prom for all students in my mind even if it meant slightly less glitz

  2. My school had an annual prom. I never went, never wanted to, never had a friend, never never.

My school had an annual prom. It was always on a Thursday, my peers wanted to go and they did, they went yes they did.

My school had an annual prom. I never went to it. Some of my friends went, the next day they talked about it – the best thing ever etc. By Monday morning it had been forgotten. Now decades later, we’ve lost touch. However over those aeons we never talked about the proms, we did talk about footy, cars, politics, other people, but never about the proms. We drank beer together and talked about now and the future we never thought about the proms.

Is the prom an overrated import?

  3. The school prom should not exclude any Student.

As a state funded school, offering an activity and not opening it up for EVERY Single student should not be allowed except in the most serious situations(exclusions, violent conduct, extenuating circumstances etc)

A points system should not have been implemented in any way to attend. It could have been used for a Bonus system, but not for the BASIC right of every student to attend.

This is punishing vulnerable MINORS who legally under 16, would not Fully understand their actions.

I would be complaining to my MP and have the education Secretary explain and apologise to all the students that missed out. And make sure schools in the Future treat ALL their Students FAIRLY.

  4. This should teach everyone involved to ignore this pseudo-American bullshit, which is clearly more important to all parties than the actual education of the children.

    Although it won’t, obviously.
