The smart thing thing to do would be to legalise the drugs. Then you would control the market, the product, the distribution and the quality and safety of all of it.
You could also tax it.
But then none of his “non-illegal” tax paying friends would get their monthly envelopes of free cash.. you know, the police officers, the port officials, the Dock workers, the couriers, the lorry drivers, the night club owners, the bar owners, the nightshops, the taxi drivers etc etc etc
So I guess it’s better to just keep the status quo and blame imaginary baddies for all the drugs coming in.

We should give those tunesiers a verblijfsvergunning and let them open up coffeeshops, would be much better. Maybe they can even start selling good weed then!
Djeezes can we stop pouring money into the war on drugs and start spending in on the people who actually NEED some fucking aid? Fucking legalize weed and hashish already. Maybe then we’ll have room to lock up the REAL criminals.

I really wonder what arguments the conservative right has in favor of the war on drugs? Like what kind of results have they actually achieved or why is so much money still being funelled towards it?
Wouldn’t it be better to approach it with a more goal-oriented long-term vision, as it’s obvious the current strategy (putting the blame on anything but yourself) is really detrimental to society and causing polarization?
