Finally something in GAA worthy of winning a game of that importance
Twas a mighty pint
He won’t have to buy himself a pint in kenmare for weeks
He could probably be earning good money as a kicker in the NFL, that’s 55m and the longest NFL kick is 60m apparently, and a Gaelic football is probably heavier to kick than an American football
Very soft free
55 metres with no tee is pretty mental. Very few rugby players could kick a 55 metre shot at goal, anymore don’t think even Sexton can anymore.
Apparently he did his Leaving Cert at 16 so took a year out before college and spent the year practising his kicking.
It’s not so much the distance, but against the wind and also the Hill 16 end is notoriously difficult on windy days. Dublin and Kerry kicked lots of wides into it.
I was certain he’d miss.
I think it’s one of the best kicks I’ve seen in Gaa
Did it with a nosebleed too, looks like. And with that Eleven on his back… Makes ya think
