I read the tactics that Uber used against federaal onderzoek for tax evasion with their kill switches and remote locking of secure information, those people should be put in jail it’s crazy! The ammount of benefit they accumulated in contrast with tax paying taxi companies is beyond words.
Also how convenient that since 2017 after all the damage was already done Uber decided to switch management and just wag their finger at predecessors.
Disgusting. Revert all laws facilitating Uber, and sue them into the ground.
Lobbying with Belgian politicians… Is that even worth the effort? 😅 Although they properly just roll over and agree just for getting the attention of a big American company 🤣
I don’t really get why this is big news, everybody who has ever come across the Eurobubble in Brussels knows how rampant lobbying is there..
There even used to be special touristic tours that shows you how certain lobbying groups hold offices in the same buildings as parliament members etc. (or neighbouring), it’s one of the biggest problems in the EU and not something you can solve by paying the PMs more :’)
