Do you guys eat herring in curry sauce? bought 2 jars of these since they were on sale and I love herring. It says “scandinavian style”, but curry is not something I associate with Scandinavia

Ate the first jar already and it was pretty gross to be honest because the curry flavor was way too intense, but it’s edible if you throw away the sauce and just eat the herring bits
I prefer herring in tomato, or Jacob’s herring in dill and other herbs
I don’t eat fish so maybe I’m wrong, but I have never seen fish in curry sauce in shops here. There definitely is herring with other sauces tho.
Yeah, it is one of the classic pickled herrings.

I’d also say that scandi ‘karri’ is more like masala than curry.
Norki uwielbiają azjatykcją kuchnię. Dość powiedzieć, że obecnie ich narodowym daniem jest Pizza Grandiosa, a obowiązkową przekąską Kvikk Lunsj, czyli lokalny klon naszych wafelków WW.
Curry has some tradition in scandinavia at least in Denmark. It was introduced to the Danish kitchen in a cook book from 1828
