>a true Antivillian through and through, born and bred
I know the estate is called Antiville but still…
People celebrating this are absolutely sick, you’re no better than the orange order and all those sectarians cunts
30-something and a father. Atop a bonfire is the last place he should have been. That poor child.
I wonder if this leads to more regulations for these things. If this was a construction site the company would be taken to the cleaners for not having PPE gear like fall arrest harnesses.
I can kind of understand why they want bonfires but why do they need to get bigger and bigger? Seems like they’ll keep pushing it each year until they reach the limit and a big tragedy happens. Literally playing with fire
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Dismantled but they will save the pallets for next year, what else would they do with themselves? spending weeks constructing bonfires is the most productive thing they do apart from marching in areas to draw provocation
Why is this tagged NSFW? The BBC are hardly going to show anything graphic
Probably wasn’t his first traumatic brain injury.
The very “community leaders” that claim to care about their people are the ones responsible for this. Encouraging this dangerous behaviour in their own backyard made this was an inevitability.
meh
its shame, then again, these bonfires should be regulated, who would have guessed gigantic bonfires being lit in urban areas was a good idea?
Feel sorry for the child, seen a lot
Of children grow up who have lost a parent mostly a father at a young age, soul destroying,
Sympathy to his family but one line in the piece didn’t make sense to me.
The Rev said “You just don’t expect thing like this to happen” or something similar but why not.
I work in construction and have worked at heights (not as high as the bonfire) but when you do you make sure to have all your safety equipment and a plan.If you have someone clambering up 50ft on stacked pallets then falling is something that’s a big possibility.
Darwinism is a bitch if you’re dumb.
Sorry for his family and friends, but otherwise… fuck him
How the fuck do you get up there?
Ill drink to that
Also breaking: Ku Klux Klansman falls off his horse and dies.
What’s the difference between the orange order and the Ku Klux klan
Not sure why this is controversial but I have no sympathy for the deceased or his family, they knew exactly what they were doing.
They were building a hate symbol, they actively encouraged the abuse of the Catholic community, and we are supposed to feel bad because the bellend fell off said hate symbol to his death?
It’s almost like these cunts shouldn’t be allowed to do this every year and there’s *somehow consequences for their hateful actions?*
And zero f*cks given by the rest of the country, I hope burning effigies of Irish people was worth this lads life to them.
