If it passes. What happens?
Not a chance the rural independents or the regional inds will vote for no confidence, the other inds like Thomas Pringle, Catherine Connolly, Micheal McNamara have said publicly they won’t support the government, so very unlikely it’ll happen
Great milage out of these no confidence votes. No wonder they call them every second Wednesday.
> Those deputies, those TDs need to now decide will they vote to allow a bad Government to continue…
People complain about this as a stunt. But this government is spending like mad going into a recession. It smells like 2008 car crash all over again. And a pet peeve of 2008 was how so many like Michael Martin got to just stay on without any accountability.
So I want the actual list of TDs who support spending 1 billion a year on short term rentals for the homeless. Ready for 2 or 3 years down the line when those same TDs say “*we* are spending above our means”.
And for those still calling it “stoopid”. Fine, but the next time you complain about why Irish politics is how it is, go find a mirror and start pointing. “Accountability”
Vonc is all about skewering the so called independents who lost the party whip
Even if all the opposition votes together, they are relying on the two suspended Green TDs and the now-former FG TD to vote against the government.
It’s not happening lads. This is just PR

I have brain drain from the heat. I forgot her name and thought it said McDonald’s.
If it doesn’t pass it may shake them up, They definitely need a boot in the arse.
Housing is my number one issue and I DREAD what SF Govt would mean for that.
Whenever they get power, they gridlock everything so they can blame a different party.
Their last manifesto in 2020 called for 100,000 new homes – an absolutely miserable number.
Plus in 2 years they’ve suggest nothing apart from … a renter’s tax cut, which will just inflate rental prices even further.
Every time they get into Govt (including when they were the largest party on most councils here, 2014-2019) they grind everything to a halt so they can blame someone else.
It shouldn’t work, but it does.
Read this and thought why the fuck would McDonalds be asking to support a no confidence vote.
