I’m a Canadian, and I’m getting destroyed in another thread (maybe rightfully so), but the question I was asked was: Why do you care about our Politics.
Because democracy is a fragile and easily-destroyed thing. It is not and never has been a permanent guarantee. If the UK’s democracy enters turmoil that’s 2 of the world’s stalwarts of democratic rule that have been compromised. Trump met with Vlad with no one else present as well.
We are marching towards authoritarianism by humoring this kind of behaviour, and it must be addressed.
