I do wonder if the tories could countenance another remainer PM (May being the other one of course), for all the talk of ‘brexit being done’ I think the issue is going to come up a lot in the leadership elections, could see some factions pushing for a ‘proper’ brexiteer which might cause a bit of infighting
although really what we need right now is a GE, it’s ludicrous that we’re going to have a lame duck government for the next few months because of yet more tory scandals and infighting… all at a time when the nation is facing its biggest crisis in decades (and covid is looming again which could potentially necessitate rapid decision-making, but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that at least!)
Looking at this voting record, he is a party loyal scumbag, and has been in lock step with Johnson ever since being appointed by him.
The general theory is that he won’t actually stand, so this may end up being moot.
