Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has indicated that the country is heading towards a major crisis due to increasing geopolitical games, internal conflict within political parties, and the chaos seen in the state’s key bodies.

On Sunday, through the social media Facebook, Bhattarai stated that the country’s situation is becoming more complex due to the escalating internal conflict within the ruling and opposition parties, the disorder in key state organs including the judiciary, administration, and police, and the continuous downward journey of the economy.

‘Against the backdrop of increasing geopolitical games in the country, escalating internal conflict within the ruling and opposition parties, chaos in key state organs like the judiciary, administration, police, the continuous downward journey of the economy, the added burden of natural disasters, the continuous exodus of youth abroad, and growing despair in the public communication sector and civil circles, all indicate that the country is heading towards a major crisis!’, said Dr. Bhattarai. ‘Now, under any pretext, the country cannot afford instability and upheaval! Let us all be serious in our respective fields! If we can, let’s contribute positively! If we cannot, let’s not do negative work!’
