Go to their service center and ask for the Fahrgastrechteformular, fill it out and sign it or Google it and get the inline version.
If you have a paper ticket that got stamped and your journey isn’t international, you can get cash if you do it in person. Otherwise you will either receive a voucher or get the money via bank transfer
