As another user stated… Hongkong is testing vigorously everybody entering their country. They had 3 cases and the people infected were in different rooms. It’s obviously can be ruled out that they have met, so the virus is airborne and more infectuous.
Since Hongkong has basically zero-tolerance policy (everybody has to be tested, quarantined for 14-21 days, get tested several times) the new virus variant is already here.
It’s not fearmongering but just a realistic and logical thinking.
Let’s hope for the best.
Since this is THE BioNTech, we can expect them to say in 5 weeks they have a new vaccine for this later variant.
