  1. This is a carbon copy of what happened with Nenagh/Ennis and the Regional on Limerick. Look how well that turned out!

  2. I honestly see no matter how many protests going to happen they will just close it.

Nobody is providing the solutions or ideas how to keep it open apart from screaming that it needs more funding when all other hospitals are also struggling with funding right now so no way out of the blue Navan hospital will be prioritised above everybody else

I’m not one who likes the idea of hospital A&E been closed down ,but let’s be logical as far as I understood the issue is not only the funding but also that they can’t get more medical staff attracted to Navan because it isn’t recognised as well as experience in other larger hospitals and that’s also not mentioning that they feel they could do with equipment upgrade that costs a fortune and then numbers don’t really add up in regard to how many serious casualties they have to justify keeping certain amount of staff to look after them.

Like if funding isn’t there what solutions do people have to keep it open?

  3. The simple, well-established, truth is that small hospitals deliver sub-par health services. This is a global truth. We need to focus on much bigger hospitals, and improve the speed we can get people to them. Air transport etc. That’s what delivers the health emergency outcomes that people need, not loads of small hospitals.
