Should that not literally form the core of the role? Why does this even need to be re-iterated, that should literally be the bare minimum standard of working in the fucking No.10 Press office.
Perhaps the Cabinet Secretary should of had some balls then. This issue isnt the Staff having no morals the issue is that the staff having no choice if they want to keep their jobs.
The Cabinet Secratry(and other high ups) bending over for politicians and allowing such a culture to be the norm is the one at fault.
One where if a civil servant actively raises issues and risks with a politicians approach is removed from post and if lucky only redeployed into a different team. This isnt just the press office of no10 this is across the board.
