Surprised they didn’t try turn it into a hotel? What happened to the made idea of putting a tourist railway thing around the park and covering a huge chunk in carparks?
Long overdue, the Magazine Fort has been neglected for years. Hopefully they do something worthwhile with it.
Of course I can already see plenty of moaners in the comment section who seem incapable of going anywhere without their car.
Better use of public money than that ridiculous white water rafting crap they were pushing for.
Great, but shouldn’t we wait until there is a viable government that can do work without siphoning millions of euros?
This could costs many billions we don’t have under FFG.
Most important question here is: will it have a visitor shop? I so need to buy rulers, pens, USB keys and notepads branded “Magazine Fort”.

I hope this goes ahead. I used to walk my dogs around there when I lived near. It could be great.
My only question is which part they’re going to turn into a hotel? Because we all know they’ll try and squeeze one in there somehow
