>Nadhim Zahawi has been secretly working with close allies of Sir Lynton Crosby on a Tory leadership campaign for months, The Times has been told.
>
>Despite becoming chancellor on Tuesday, Zahawi has been preparing behind the scenes a Crosby-approved plan to become prime minister, which includes cutting corporation tax and VAT and looking at stamp duty.
>
>He is understood to be ready to activate the campaign immediately, and the team had been preparing a resignation letter centred on trust had he not been made chancellor. …
Yep, the country needs the kind of guy who claims expenses for his horses!

so not a secret
wonder how much dirt he’s got libraried on himself now
My prediction (which will be wrong):
– Braverman has no impact on anything and barely features in the contest
– Zahawi runs, too tainted by Boris
– Gove runs, gets through to later stages but loses because that’s his role in life
– Hunt runs, does okay but really no one likes him
– Truss runs and makes final few.
– Wallace runs but is boring and shows he isn’t quite ready for that level of government
– Mordaunt runs and makes final two because she’s competent and has that hard edge Tory voters like in a woman
– Javid runs but his head is too round
– Sunak runs and wins because tories don’t care about rich wives, but is a big issue at next election, which they win anyway because Keri is essentially a sock
Nah. He’s accepted the role of Dornitz in this particular drama by becoming chancellor to try to prop Johnson up. There’s no way he succeeds past the first round.
