There appears to be more than one headline claiming different ones are the “clear favourite”. Saw one claiming for Penny M. File under spin.
Give it time for all the various games to play out – the early favourite is usually an easy target and soon falls by the wayside… politics in action, it makes you proud, doesn’t it?
Am I remembering wrong but wasn’t boris initially a favourite after Cameron resigned, before he was derailed?
Given the snake pit calling itself the Conservative party I can’t really think of a favourite. They’re all equally untrustworthy to me.
It’s all spin now.
Call xyz favourite – put some push behind him and if he wins they can say we helped
At least opens a chance to get Gromit as Foreign Secretary.
If there’s one lesson of Johnson, it’s that “clear” favourites who are uncritically accepted and cheered on are dangerous.
Who gives a fuck which one of the morally-bankrupt bottom-feeders gets the job?
If decency stood any chance in this country, we’d have a left-wing leader by now because that’s where good sense would have taken us had it been allowed to prevail.
But the establishment of greed and the liars who enable and support it in business, in politics and in the media – coupled with a moronic, window-licking electorate of gullible xenophobes and blame-merchants who listen with pride they have no right to feel and talk straight from between the cheeks of their elbows – prefer monkeys good at throwing shit and bananas to drive their agenda.
The country is broken because the system is broken because nothing we are having rammed down our throats day in day out bears any resemblance to truth and appropriateness.
Can’t we gave Gromit instead?
Wallace is a war hawk just like Truss.
Nah, my vote’s on Gromit personally.
Clear favourite amongst Tory members means nothing if he is not popular amongst the parliamentary party. I doubt he’ll make the list put to members.
