Hi! I am trying to catch the ORF Long Night of Museums 2022 in Vienna but am not sure how it works. I couldn’t find many English blogs on this and the website is in German/handouts were unable to be translated with Google as they are scanned PDFs. Can anyone help me figure out the details since I’m non-German speaking? ([https://langenacht.orf.at/](https://langenacht.orf.at/))

Mostly, I just want to know 1) how/where to purchase tickets, 2) what museums are included, 3) where to figure out special events for the museums that evening.

Thank you SO much for your help.

Edit: thank you for your responses! Do all the major museums participate/do you know which museums participated in 2021?

  1. “Nähere Informationen finden Sie ab Sommer auf dieser Website.”

Check the website periodically for changes and additional infos 😉

  2. The stuff on the website is – at the moment – just for museums that wish to participate.

You can usually buy tickets at a museum, and you will be able to find the programme (i.e. which museums are included) on their website shortly before the event.

    However:

    – Most of the events are in German

    – Some of the smaller museums really, really get a lot of visitors that night

    – You may have to line up to enter

I would recommend visiting the few museums you’re interested in separately, perhaps using one of the “passes” that are marketed to tourists and include free or reduced entry for some.
