Could a weed scam fix the housing crisis whilst the Brits are at it again moaning with Father Ted memes
You’d have to downvote it to be true
A screenshot in /r/Ireland of a post in /r/Ireland?
Peak r/Ireland would be moaning about this.
He’s asking the question we’re all thinking!
It would put a shit ton of extra revenue into the hands of those who do nothing to help the public
Step 1: Make weed legal
Step 2: Ireland is the only English-speaking EU country with legal weed
Step 3: Stoners move in and the housing supply goes down
“Dude…like, just think about it….like weed can cure the housing crisis”
It wouldnt solve the housing crisis, but it would have a slight boost to the economy because it could be another thing that could be taxed, while decreasing deug dealing crime as weed would be legal.
Also as someone else said, it would let the garda spend time on something important instead of chasing drug dealers that would be at it again as soon as hes out of jail.
Not to mention the health benefits of high CBD strains of cannabis
Well all drugs should be legal.
Half the posts feel like the same guy is writing them.
Best idea I’ve heard on r/Ireland yet!
No drugs are bad mmmkay.
The biggest national problems according to r/Ireland:
1. Drug laws
2. Scrotes and travellers
3. The housing crisis
I think the funniest is when it is touted in agriculture themed threads that, soon after legalisation, Ireland could become a powerhouse in the cultivation of this sun-hungry, rain-averse plant.
Y’know, to go woth our thriving wine and tobacco production.
I’m ready to die on this hill, but legalise it and tax the fuck out of it rather than railing my pay cheque
