  1. Yup. I posted an article recently about discrimination Travellers (an Irish ethnic group) face in the UK. It was deleted for being off topic. And yet /r/Ireland is overrun with articles about UK politics which have no relevance to Ireland at all. (I’m happy to see BJ on his way out, but I have no great desire to talk about it in this subreddit.)

Before it was deleted, the only comment it got was someone lamenting that if they said what they wanted to, they’d be banned for racism. Intellectual giant, so.

  2. “This video is unconfirmed by mainstream news sources”

    Whatever the fuck that means

  3. One of the most fascinating conversation I’ve ever had in my life was with an old traveller on the train one evening.

The local traveller family also managed to drive through the garden wall outside the house one night in the middle of a domestic dispute – and weirded out our eastern european neighbours. They were all, WTF.

  4. Called someone on their racism on the sub a few days ago. Got a lol cop on to yerself. Surprised he didn’t also call me a dry shite. Moral cowardice is a pretty Irish unattractive trait sadly
