Luxembourg needs to stop buying dirty energy from Germany

  1. Majority of imported electricity is renewable, though it’s a shame that’s been static for ages:

    Transport vastly out shadows every other energy use segment, but of course transitory fill-ups skew that metric;

  2. Germany is too stubborn to backtrack on the stupid idea that nuclear energy is bad… And there’s probably some shady shit with the Russian deals.

  3. And rather recently Luxembourg with Germany and other european countries opposed an idea by the french to build more nuclear.

    Morons!

  4. 1) Gazprom lost quite a number of cases in the European courts over the recent years, that urged the company to sell gas based on a “fair” market price, rather than a fixed one. Gazprom complied with the rulings and everyone in EU was happy until China decided to go “green” this year and the demand rocketed gas prices into the sky. Wanted a fair market price? well there it is.
    I fail to recognize how Russia is responsible for the failure of the EU governments to plan ahead.
    2) As well I don’t believe in such blunt ignorance of the EU officials and all this “gas shortage crisis” IMO is a part of the bigger plan to reanimate and rehabilitate the nuclear energy. And here’s another evidence of that:

  5. As the one working with radiation environment, I’m so disappointed that people scare Nuclear too much because of media while know nothing about safety procedure of a Nuclear power plant.
    If we invest more on Nuclear we could have molten salt reactor by now …
    Renewable energy is the future but to fill the gap, nuclear is the most suitable candidate, not burning more coal and gas !

  6. Luxembourg had the offer to solve all energy problems for the country decades ago.
    Shortsighted politicians decided against the nuclear reactor.
    We now have a reactor much bigger than the one that was planned next to us with all the perceived risks and none of the benefits!

  7. So you guys recognize electric energy as in…. colored water? Blue electron good, Orange electron bad 😂
