  1. Ladies and gentlemen

There is no saving this ship

But I’m pretty sure BoJo would try float by himself

Edit: Sky reporting Raab ‘staying loyal’ – what a clown

  2. >The public rightly expect government to be conducted properly, competently and seriously.

    >I recognise this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe these standards are worth fighting for and that is why I am resigning.

    >My letter to the Prime Minister below.

  3. Will be interesting to see how “brave sir Boris” handles this.

Brave Sir Boris ran away Bravely ran away away When danger reared it’s ugly head He bravely turned his tail and fled Yes, brave Sir Boris turned about And gallantly he chickened out Swiftly taking to his feet He beat a very brave retreat Bravest of the brave, Sir Boris!

  4. It’s happening, it’s actually fucking happening

    Tears of joy emoji

    EDIT:

O BRAVE NEW WORLD THAT HAS SUCH PEOPLE IN IT

    EDIT:

who wants an upvote? I’m buying tonight, lads

  5. Guys, guys it’s finally happening!

Truss will be next (or Rabb if he can figure out how to open Outlook on his phone), all those wanting to make a Leadership bid will start dropping like flies.

My money is on Boris calling a GE, burning the gaff down on his way out.

  6. I do find it interesting that after everything that’s happened this is what’s caused all these people to resign.

  7. If I were Sunak, I would be looking for any excuse to get out. Leading the country into a recession is going to end his career.

  8. WOAH this is huge. Rishi Sunak said that he’s often disagreed with Boris Johnson privately but defended him publicly. Proof that they’ll happily defend Johnson’s lies until they finally have the decency to resign themselves.

  9. How does that Queen song go? Oh, I remember!

AND ANOTHER ONE GONE AND ANOTHER ONE GONE

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

BORIS IM GONNA GET YOU TOO

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

  10. >”I am sad to be leaving government but I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that *we cannot continue like this*”

David Cameron ran using a motto similar to this. If Starmer doesn’t use this line to crush them while they’re down, then he’s more useless than he lets on.

    Edit: Formatting

  11. How the fuck was *this* the line?

Pandemic mishandling killing tens of thousands? That’s fine. Dumping refugees in a poor African dictatorship? Nah, no problem. Ruining the economy to appease racists and xenophobes? Sounds good. Breaking lockdown rules and lying about it? I’m a fan. A raging fucking torrent of lies? Nothing wrong with that. Racism, sexism, homophobia, jobs for pals, bungs to cronies, mistresses everywhere, undermining human rights, pandering to nationalists, raw sewage dumped everywhere, blackmailing MPs, defending Jenrick and Cummins and Hancock, Russian money and interference? That’s all just good fun.

But now you’ve gone too far … by, err, making a piss-poor choice for deputy whip and lying about it.

  12. The PM quickly announces the replacement Chancellor, Joris Bohnson, a newcomer up the ranks of the Tories, and recently arrived Jarrie Cohnson to be made Secretary of State of Health etc etc

  13. This isn’t bravery, or taking a moral stand. That would have been months ago.

This is rats fleeing a sinking ship.
