  1. In case you didn’t know we have a committee to decide whether or not to raise the minimum wage the SPD however chooses to ignore it and raises it anyways

  2. Bad idea. High minimum wage leads to two bad outcomes – increased inflation and increased unemployment. It is literally a price control, namely controlling price of labour, which will lead to market distortions and inefficiencies. It will make harder for young people to get their first job, for new immigrants to start working, for women to re-enter the workforce after staying at home for family reasons etc. Germany did very well without any minimum wage for a long time, same with Scandinavian countries.
