Cinema projectionist who was sacked after the wrong ‘Matrix’ film was screened loses claim for unfair dismissal

  1. The lad who got sacked had made an injury claim against the cinema not long before this incident. And then he’s sacked first chance they get. Very dodgy.

  2. If they had played the first Matrix movie instead of the recent pile of trash, I’m sure people would have actually been happy.

  3. >The complainant’s solicitor — John Anderson — said there was no evidence to prove that his client deleted The Matrix file from the server.

    That is unintentionally hilarious.

Also he was fired 20/2/2020, ….just a few weeks before his coworkers would have been fired. Talk about bad timing.

  4. “Mark Anderson had said Mr Callaghan’s “head would roll””

It’s a fucking movie, could everyone please calm down

  5. >They were “extremely irate and angry”, he said.

Do people really get extremely irate and angry over the wrong movie being played?

    >Mark Anderson had said Mr Callaghan’s “head would roll for the wrongdoing on the night in question”, it was alleged.

Why is everyone names Anderson in this story and why is everyone getting so worked up over a simple mistake?

  6. “his client deleted The Matrix file from the server” There ya go Neo, why didn’t you just do that?

  7. What I don’t get is why couldn’t he have stopped and played the correct movie?

People would’ve noticed within seconds it was the wrong movie.

Seems bizarre that he’d resort to a huge attempted cover up.

  8. I bought a ticket for “the matrix 2022 re” the month the new one was out, and it turned out to be “Matrix 1 reissued”. Looking back I kinda dodged a bullet but I was annoyed watching an old film.
