  1. I may even consider it if it gave me the chance at a job with progression outside of more responsibility for the same shit pay.

  2. I find that study to be horseshite. If my pay got cut by 10%, I would be fucking furious as i’m a zero hour contract worker who is on NMW and going from earning the lowest possible wage to fuck all would decrease my happiness even more.

Is this the start of the workers are happier if they earn less, bullshit?

  3. I would take a 10% paycut, if I had free travel, paid for work lunches, a smaller workload and worked 4 days a week with the same holiday allowance.

Oh and if I could afford a house on a smaller salary, because I can’t afford a house on my current salary

  4. You could essentially achieve a ten percent paycut by upping taxes by ten perceny then using that money to fund things that make people feel better and make the country better, like healthcare, transport, police, education, etc…

  5. Really, who comes up with this nonsense? We have had nothing but, workers demanding fair wages from the Guardian for weeks, and now they give us this. Perhaps the people who did this study think you can be happy on fresh air.
