  1. I’ve been on a waiting list for two years with medical card. Id struggle to afford going up and down to Dublin for treatment. Having to go to Spain is not realistic to what I could afford.

  2. I think there is a scapegoating too of people who have a medical card from being eligible for it. It’s hard to meet the criteria and anyone who has been granted one, has it for a reason

  3. Some people will gladly avail of it. Lowers the waiting list, not by much, but every bit helps.

Wouldn’t fancy negotiating two airports after a hip replacement or spinal surgery though. You’d like to be home with your feet up.

  4. Got me togs on under me trousers. Two weeks in torremolinos, gonna be tropic! Down there for dancin’!

  5. Why are peoples go to reaction when medical card or welfare is mentioned is “AAAAH SOMEBODY MIGHT ABUSE THIS”

The government are abusing this you numbskull. Why do we have waiting lists so long that we have to drag lifeless people across borders while shouting we love the EU.

Great workers them polish doctors, shure the Irish doctors don’t want to work.
