Lahbib can’t even be called a political lightweight (more like a non-weight). That’s Bouchez primary reason for picking her. She owes her “career” to him, which makes it easy to control her. It’s a typical tactic of demagogues and populists. Trump and Johnson would also routinely launch novices into important positions, because they’d be less likely to oppose them than political heavyweights. Bouchez is just making sure there isn’t another Crucke. What the country’s interests are in this is irrelevant to him.
