  1. Though for Alexia Bertrand, who has decades of political experience under Reynders (which is also why she wasn’t chosen probably).

Still, Bouchez might make an enemy out of her father and that is not someone to trifle with.

  2. Lahbib can’t even be called a political lightweight (more like a non-weight). That’s Bouchez primary reason for picking her. She owes her “career” to him, which makes it easy to control her. It’s a typical tactic of demagogues and populists. Trump and Johnson would also routinely launch novices into important positions, because they’d be less likely to oppose them than political heavyweights. Bouchez is just making sure there isn’t another Crucke. What the country’s interests are in this is irrelevant to him.

  3. Well she’s actually been in afghanistan and egypt and whatnot ( and not as a tourist). More than you can say of many others regarding experience. Rather misogynistic to predict she will be a Bouchez puppet don’t you think.
Not to mention the racist bullshit she probably has to deal with, eh?

edit: Reynders is a careerist pur sang, he doesn’t give a shit about anything but his advancement.

edit2: it’s all preliminary ofc, i might be wrong on all counts, but trying not to be too negative.
