Fintan O’Toole: The shift back towards landlordism didn’t happen by accident

  1. Is there an example in any country of social housing built by government that didn’t turn into a ghetto like environmental after a number of years ..

Most council estates of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s became places people didn’t want to live after a certain amount of time, mainly due to anti social behaviour etc..

  2. The biggest joke in Ireland is people’s rabid preoccupation with “The Ladder”. We are morally corrupt with greed and everything else has suffered.

Best option might be to leave and come back when every asshole has eaten each other, then I can buy up the property for cheap and charge exorbitant rents.

  3. Fintan sounding very much like the “conspiracy theorists” he despises. Just don’t ask him about the world economic forum and the great reset

  4. I always viewed private renting as something students and young people starting out in life did. Then if you could afford to you bought a place. If you couldn’t you went into council housing.

I wouldn’t like to bring up kids with the insecurity of private renting.

Let’s forget about longterm private renting. We need social and private housing.
