  1. That’s how much they used to give me on the dole, after my woeful means testing. I have to admit, more than once I didn’t get out of bed for that much. Nevermind break into some poor fuckers locker.

  2. Not being a smart arse here but imagine someone broke into your work locker and stole less than €50, then you ring the Gardai and ask what time you can expect forensics to arrive for finger printing. They would piss themselves laughing.

My house was burgled and car stolen a few years back, two guards came up had tea and left that was it.

  3. What are they hiring? The amount of stupid prick guards I’ve had dealings with is insane.

  4. 7 months prison is a bit excessive over €43 when there’s cunts out there getting no jail time for battering people and sex crimes.

  5. I love that there was a victim impact statement for 43 euro. I’d say both families were in tears and the judge was visibly moved.

It’s said that you’re the average of the 5 people you spend most time with. Maybe this guy spent too much time with the lads behind the bars and not enough time with his own colleagues.

Must have been beyond frustrating in fairness for the guards to have to work in a station where someone is stealing from them regularly. All joking aside over the amount they got him with on that occasion, pretty toxic for general morale given their occupation.

  6. Knew a trainee gard who was working out of Kevin St on night shift – came back in the night for break/lunch – sangers robbed out of the fridge – despicable

  7. I think hes going to become intimately familiar with picking up bars of soap given the amount the people who love garda in jail.

  8. Absolute joke of a sentence and more of the usual bullshit from judges here.

How many have committed way more serious offences been convicted and then having their sentence suspended.

    Absolutely no consistency

  9. Jailed? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUCKING HELL THIS COUNTRYS COMPLETELY LOST THE FUCKING PLOT

  10. He claimed depression and anxiety. Bullshit. I’ve got both and it has never made me steal. It’s kept me from leaving my bed and cost me friends and opportunities. It does not make you do shit like this.

People who don’t actually have these conditions are misusing them as piss-poor excuses for bad behaviour.

  11. I’m not defending him. He’s been found guilty and it’s scummy to Rob from anyone, worse from your friends and workmates.

But seven months over €43 is mental.

  12. 7 months is a stupid sentence to get . Losing his job and the shame is enough or a fine.
The cost of imprisoning him in a special unit will be many thousands of taxpayers money.
    What a dopey c##t.

  13. I think it’s the 2 other convictions he got that made the sentence hit.

If the record was clean probably would have just lost the job.

Something else definitely at play here
