Warszawa, one of the beatifulest places

  1. …aaaaand the ugliest building you can find in entire city is right there in the center of this picture.

  2. I read no building in the city can be taller than that large pointy thing in the front. Is that true?

  3. From the air, probably. Lots of work to be done at street level. But I love me some Warsaw!!

  4. I think there’s something really uniquely beautiful about Warsaw and you’ve captured it here.

I’m an American from the midwest, I always think Poland and especially Warsaw looks a lot like the middle of our country (probably part of why so many of you have come here), and the historical eclecticism of your skyline is really unique in the world. No city wears its own history so proudly, I’m glad Polish people are proud of it. You should be.

  5. Well… we have very different definitions of beauty. It’s one of two cities I really really disliked (so far).

  6. If thats “beautyfull” wait till you see Bieszczady.

  7. The commie building looks so out of place. Its windows should glow too.

  8. I visited it last week and I agree, it’s a very nice city

  9. At this point, I’m not sure if “beautifulest” is just a joke or not

  10. Every time I see this building it reminds me of the similar style building we have here in Kyiv on Hreshchatyk street. The same Stalinist style and it was built in the same years. I feel like it’s no sense in explaining what processes are happening in Ukraine right now (like turbo-
decommunization and derussification). But despite this, I am pretty ok with that building’s existence, it’s not causing any bad feelings. I wonder what feelings have the people of Warsaw toward the Pałac Kultury i Nauki building? I know that ‘people of Warsaw ‘ is quite a generalization, but still)

  11. Warszawa one of the worst city ever. Nothing special in it. Krakow and Gdansk is amazing and much more better.

  12. I’m not polish, but Warsaw always feels like home. 🖤

  13. Wait, there are coming the green peace and concrete architecture haters. In 3… 2… 1…

  14. i don’t agree. even in Poland there are a lot nicer cities in every aspect.
