Latest news report says it was a ukranian Antonov 12 flying to Jordan.
Crew of 8 but this could be just a rumour.
Apart from the crash I’m quite curious about its cargo and the flight plan with Jordan as final destination. Journalists say it was carrying “dangerous” materials and that’s it. Local authorities report on multiple explosions in the area.
I guess things could be clearer tomorrow.
Τι σκατά μετέφερε μάθαμε;;

For the unaware, Antonov aircrafts are HUGE. Look it up.
Carrying weapons for Ukraine? From Serbia to Jordan? What stupid title is this?

*”State TV ERT reported that the aircraft was an Antonov An-12 owned by a Ukrainian company, which was flying from Serbia to Jordan”*

*”Greek Civil Aviation authorities said the flight was heading from Serbia to Jordan. The An-12, a Soviet-built turboprop aircraft, was operated by cargo carrier Meridian.”*
It was flying something from Serbia to Jordan and not to Ukraine.
The Meridian Ltd (MEM3032) Antonov cargo jet departed Niš, Serbia (INI) with scheduled destination Amman, Jordan (AMM). 8 souls on board (RIP pilot, FO, and 6 passengers). Luckily, no reported deaths near the crash site.
At this very early point in time, any speculation on intended final cargo recipients is premature.

I just read that the plane’s final destination was Bangladesh.It carried some tons of an unspecified white thing.
