    Stretch.

  2. Honestly, nothing surprises me with these people anymore. Although I would like to see her explain why she thinks we should pay for this…

  3. We have millions on food banks but watchdogs are giving this the go ahead.

We’re fucked guys let me off at the next stop

  4. Provided the audit proves all items ordered through it are for work purposes (presumably the orders made were also expensed), this may well be legitimate. What’s more surprising is the Commons doesn’t have a collective subscription as it would probably save quite a bit on postage.

And anyone thinking I’m a Tory shill need only check my post history. I wouldn’t vote for those cretins if God Himself endorsed them and there was a gun to my head.

  5. I’m just in the process of adding the finishing touches to my latest article concerning fuel prices at sea and the end game impact this is having on those that work within the fishing industry and this just takes the biscuit!

  6. Ok so I’m paying a lot of income tax these days – can I put my streaming subscriptions on expenses? Keep in mind if I use something for work and lesuire I have to work out the balance and account accordingly – so how much of the £8.99 a month do they expense for? Better not be all of it if Truss has been watching Star Wars.

  7. That… seems fine?

MPs employ staff, rent premises, etc, for all intents and purposes they’re small businesses in their own right. Paying for Amazon Prime for Business would be a perfectly acceptable expense claim

Meanwhile MPs are forced to use certain suppliers for security and broadband – BT charge them pretty much double because they have to use them, and Chubb security have to be the ones to do any security work and they do an absolute garbage job for probably inflated costs.

  8. After watching her performance on Friday night, I don’t think she has ever actually communicated with a real life person in the real world. It’s as if someone built a robot, got bored halfway through and just said, “Fuck it. It’ll do.”

  9. Not surprised in the least. Mp’s lecturing the public on cost of living while they continue to squander public money. Criminals the majority of them

  10. Liz Truss is a danger to this country, but I can see an Amazon prime subscription being part of expenses being potentially in the taxpayers interest.

Amazon Prime 1-day delivery was pretty necessary when moving to an unfurnished apartment in the US there was no way I could even sleep or work that first day if I didn’t get my bedding, desk and chair delivered on the move in day.

The foreign secretary’s job would involve people having to suddenly be in different places, and need a lot of flexibility, so a same-day delivery could go a long way to accommodate people.

That doesn’t mean Truss should be let off the hook, we should be seeing what the prime subscription is being used for. If there’s even a single personal item, its pretty clear Truss can afford that subscription herself.

  11. I don’t like the Tories any more than the next person but surely expensing a subscription service that costs £7.99 per month isn’t the most outrageous thing?

Expensing larger and more costly goods and services is definitely something to complain about, but this feels like making a mountain out of a molehill.

  12. Stop worrying about her prime account, she said yesterday that she wants “to end stalinist housing targets” if you consider what these fuckers have done for the last 10 years to help ordinary people with “stalinist housing targets”…

    we’re fucked!

  13. Fuck I fucking hate this rat. When she was there opening the a11 I saw her on a bridge with camera crew, I immediately wanted to roll the window down and call her a lying cunt.
Biggest regret of my life not doing it.
I want her to know she’s a dirty rat.

  14. As much as she’s a knobule, next day delivery of things like paper, pens, folders, memory sticks etc is probably quite useful for an a Minister who runs and office and it’ll only take a few deliveries for the delivery fee pass the subscription fee. I can think of much more outrageous things to expense.

  15. Hate the Tories but honestly it’s probably does save them money given how shit procurement is for government.

  16. Time for standardized expenses you get one Jerry can of fuel a yearly rail ticket and £50 Greg’s voucher for international relations meetings

  17. They just like seeing an overworked driver turn up at their door, makes them feel good seeing someone struggling.

  18. They tell us that if we want to afford our own home, we should cut out the Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon prime. Then they go and spend our taxes on Amazon Prime all whilst cutting public services and universal credit.

  19. I thought the point of lobbying was that large corporate entities give mps things in exchange for them passing the laws they want in place – not that they make the mps pay for those things

  20. WHY IS THIS EVEN ALLOWED!? Why are the expenses office looking though these going “yep! Public can pay for her Amazon subscription” or “Yep! £7,000 on eyebrow treatment for Priti Patel
