IMO Putin usually has a really funny kind of humour, similar to Saddam Hussein’s. Funny, but as dangerous as a rattlesnake. But then he is as vain as any politician out there, nothing funny about that.
There’s only one appropriate response: publish a picture of the ambassador with a clown’s nose.
Yeah I guess he’s not very familiar with freedom and free press.
I’m curious, where would such action take place and who would be representing the Russian authorities?
Checked the Russian embassy website. They seem to have their little vendetta against the NZZ. Two of their last press releases complain about something that they published. The previous one was about NZZ daring to write about Russian filtration camps on the occupied territories of Ukraine, even after the Russian human rights representative (yes, really) said they didn’t exist (spoiler: they do exist).
In short, life seems to be really hard for the Russian embassy staff in Switzerland, I wish them the promptest possible return to the motherland
