Agree, I can’t see a post-Boris Tory party. They’re all tarnished with the same brush: profiteering off covid and PPE, ignoring the cost of living crisis, climate change, worsening the housing crisis etc. and playing up culture wars that the British public doesn’t actually care about.

The problem with this country is the electoral system, and it has been that way for 60 years. Nothing constructive is every achieved because it is torn down or undermined by the next change of governing party. Changing to a PR system is probably going to splinter the conservatives, labour and the lib dems, but at least we can get consensus politics instead of rule by a party which the majority of people didn’t vote for. If this isn’t a priority for opposition parties we are going to end up as a one party state.
