Sweet suffering JAYSUS! Cannot even imagine thinking any of those things and I’m 40 years of age. To me, the height of Independence was learning how to cook, clean, do washing PLUS basic DIY as soon as was feasibly possible. I’d be loathe to rely on someone else for the basic things in life. I’m blessed that the women in my life are tough as nails, but each of them know if they need a favour I’d be the first one to give a dig out. Women aren’t second class citizens and anyone who thinks that needs a good slap.

My Dad used to get a lot of stick from his mates for cooking and cleaning. Since my Mam passed away he’s been fine and independent. If he had been one of his mates though he’d have been fucked. The only the thing he’s not great with is the sewing machine. I’ll be moving back with him later in the year due to the shitty housing situation.
