Brexit means fewer British products in supermarkets, farmers tell MPs

  1. Is there any way in which Brexit has improved our lives? Even a single one?

I would be genuinely curious to know.

The answers to this only ever seem to be about the colour of passports and something nebulous and nonspecific about self determination

  2. Oh God who would ever have predicted it!?

Except for those experts you were all apparently fed up of. Damn experts and their expertise!

  3. So, we must have no body that can pick fruit and veggies in this country eh? Get those on benefits in the field!! Ffs.

Can’t say they steal your jobs and then vote to get them kicked out!

Take back the country as you wanted. Unfortunately you’re gonna have to work for it …..

  4. I bet the Carling guzzlers whose perfect holiday is going to Gibraltar and screaming “Hands off our rock” across the Spanish border, will be delighted

  5. I’m from Europe and was absolutely stunned by the stupidity of the whole affair. My boss said before the referendum that Brexit will mean more fresh British produce, like he saw in Portugal. Never mind Portugal is in EU and all the British produce is picked by EU nationals.

Xenophobia blinded people to reality. They only heard what they wanted to hear to confirm their beliefs that they’re better off without forriners.

  6. il be honest I Don’t see why people care about uk farms, they are mainly staffed with immigrants who take the money home out of the country, and travel here and back home useing fossil fuels . by farmers who claim they make a loss ever year .

so at this point why does it really matter if the whole process is done abroad and shipped here with the same fossil fuels ?

the money is leaving the UK regardless, so don’t really see the loss

  7. “We’re going to regulate the City of London to ensure a fairer society.” is not something you’re ever going to hear from any Tory or Labour politician, so forget it.

In effect, 17.4 million people voted to protect corporate profits, tax dodges and offshore tax havens.

Let’s stop pretending that it was about anything else.

  8. That’s what the Tories intentions are. The shareholders buy into cheaper foreign markets, then ship it into the U.K. sell it to us at the same price then eventually put the prices up and make a fortune out of us. Topically Tory capitalism.

  9. I mean, it’s what the country and farmers in particular wanted and forced on us remainers.

When is one of them going to apologise and suggest something should be done to get my freedom of movement back?
